Mummy Mondays: GettingPersonal.co.uk Review

Posted on the 08 July 2013 by Sparklesandstretchmarks @raine_fairy
Apologies that today's Mummy Mondays post is a little later than usual - all of this lovely weather leaves little opportunity to sit holed up at home in front of the computer!!!
I've been meaning to post about the fantastic website Getting Personal for a long time now - as I'm sure my readers are aware by now, I absolutely ADORE personalised products! Particularly for my baby son! I just do not think there is anything cuter than items for a baby or their nursery with their name and personal details on!
So I was absolutely thrilled beyond words to be given the chance to review Getting Personal but I have to admit - when I took on the review opportunity, I was already convinced that while the products would probably be nice - they would surely not pull me away from my usual favorite websites - the market leaders in personalised products.
I first started to change my mind about this when I was given free reign to select some products to have a look at - the sheer volume of products on offer was ASTOUNDING!!!!
There was so much to choose from I didn't know where to begin - luckily the website is very well designed and so its extra easy to narrow down what you're looking for.
You can browse Birthday Gifts, Wedding, Gifts, Kids Gifts, Teacher Gifts - there are many search options laid out for you!
Of course, I was looking specifically for items for Tyne and so I had a browse through the kids section - there was, again, a huge amount of choice - and a nice mix of personalised and non-personalised items too, so if personalisation isn't your thing - GettingPersonal still has plenty of choice for you!
I selected four products to try - as the items all come from various sellers they arrived at different times depending on whether or not they were personalised, but all of them arrived quickly and all of them were very well packaged and presented.
Here are the items that I chose:

Personalised New Arrival Plaque For Boys - £14.99
This lovely handpainted wooden plaque is so pretty - little details such as the cream ribbon printed with the words "Tiny hands and Tiny Feet" really go the extra mile to making it that bit more special. The plaque features babies name, date of birth and birth weight, as well as a cute little heart with the words "Baby Boy" - it would make such a lovely new baby gift!!!

Our Story: For My Son journal - £19.99
This journal comes from the makers of the "From You To Me" journals which I am a big fan of and have given as gifts to many family members and friends over the years, so I was always going to love this new installment in the range!
The idea of the journal is that you fill in a few pages every year from your sons birth right up until their 18th birthday...and then you give it to them so that they can look back on your memories recorded of your years together.

The illustrations and quotes inside the book are so beautiful and touching, and I can't wait to get started with filling it in!

The next item we received was actually featured in my recent Fathers Day Gift guide, but I had to include it here as well as I just love them so much!

How cute is this Daddy & Me t shirt set?! Available in a variety of colours!
And the final item is my favourite!

Personalised Day You Were Born Print - £39.99
This gorgeous, high quality 55 x 30 cm print is the perfect way to mark the arrival of a new baby and remember it forever...
Mummy Mondays: GettingPersonal.co.uk review
Featuring Tyne's name and date of birth, along with a quirky retro bird image which will match his nursery theme perfectly...
Mummy Mondays: GettingPersonal.co.uk review
Followed by details of his place of birth, and more quirky details such as his starsign, the price of a stamp when he was born, his birth flower, the time the sun rose and set and even which of the days of the week he was born on and its corresponding line from the verse...in Tyne's case "Tuesdays Child is Full Of Grace"....I think all the details really make it special and such a lovely keepsake to hang in the childs bedroom for them to look back on!
So what do you think of my items from Getting Personal?!
Personally, I am extremely impressed with the choice, the speed and ease of ordering and delivery, the customer service, and the quality - and they will be my first stop from now on!
