Munchie Mondays ~ Hooters Hot Wings

Posted on the 03 September 2012 by Redneckprincess @RdNeckPrincess

I know…but I think the word Hooters will get me hits. I am a stat whore that way.

So here’s the deal with these.

Make them. They are the most amazing wings I have EVER made, and I am a pretty awesome wing maker if I do say so myself.

They are super easy and absolutely unbelievably delicious.

You need:

4-5 lbs Wings
Hot Oil
1 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour (I just used white)
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika

Sauce:
1 stick Butter (I used about 1/2 a cup)
3/4 c. Franks Hot Wing Sauce
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (up to a teaspoon to reach desired hotness!)

Mix the flours, salt, and paprika until well blended. In a frying pan, heat oil to 375F.

Dip the wings into the seasoned flour and fry until golden brown.

While the wings are frying, melt the butter and mix with the Franks hot wing sauce. Add cayenne pepper if desired, set aside. I used a Cayenne hot sauce so didn’t add more…

Once the wings are fully cooked and golden brown, Drain briefly on paper towels, then dip liberally in the hot wing sauce.

I was going to put them in the oven for a bit, but once we tasted them we decided against it. And by then they were gone. They are just. that. good.

Happy Monday folks…Enjoy!!!
