Munchie Mondays ~ Yorkshire Pudding

Posted on the 24 September 2012 by Redneckprincess @RdNeckPrincess

Fall is officially here, which means Roast beef dinner. With Yorkshires…I LOVE Yorkshire pudding, it is one of my favorite comfort foods. I can eat three of them…smothered in gravy. As well as my dinner, hehehehe…

They are super easy to make.

Here is the recipe to make the best ever Yorkshires…

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup flour

Sift flour and salt together. Add milk gradually to make a smooth paste. Add eggs and beat for two minutes with a whisk. I let the mixture sit for at least 30 minutes before I cook them. This makes a huge difference in how they rise when cooking so don’t skip it.

I also use a muffin tin to cook my Yorkshires in. Put a bit of oil in each of the muffin cups and heat the oil in a 450 degree oven and heat it for three minutes. Take hot pan out of oven and fill with Yorkshire mixture. Put back in 450 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Do NOT open the oven while they are cooking. This is IMPORTANT…I don’t know why, it just is. They will be like little hockey pucks if you do…trust me on this.

Enjoy with Roast beef dinner, covered in butter and gravy. Bad for you, most likely…delicious, absolutely.
