It is the place that when I'm having a tough day and when I have mountains of work to do and a toddler that doesn't seem to be happy no matter what I do or try with him, can make everything feel better after just a short visit.
There are a few reasons as to why our local park tops the list of my better places to go and the first reason is for the simple pleasure of getting a little fresh air.
Sometimes it's just nice to get out of the house, isn't it?

rom where we live to the park it is a short five minute walk. We walk past beautiful open fields and we get to see chickens and sheep and then there's the beautiful countryside scenery that surrounds us at every turn. I love walking past the little stream on the way and listening to the calm water running. I love breathing in the fresh air and feeling the sun reflect down on to my skin. I love to see the look on Ethan's face when he realises that we are heading towards the swings. I love that he loves to be outside so much. I love that no matter how grumpy he's been, a walk to the park is guaranteed to instantly cheer him up. I love that our little cat Charlie follows us to the park at every opportunity and then follows Ethan around like they're the bestest of friends.I love that we've already created so many happy memories and that we've taken so many happy photographs as a family there too.
I love that every time I go there I am reminded of these happy memories and I love that whilst watching an excited Ethan run about exploring more and more of the park each time, it somehow makes all of the things that had been getting on top of me feel so much less significant. So that's why our local park is my #BetterPlace, where's yours? This #BetterPlaces post is in support of the Syndol Find Your Better Place campaign with BritMums.
