My Christmas Film Bucket List | Blogmas Day 4

Posted on the 13 December 2018 by Violetdaffodils

I have a confession to make. I've barely watched any of the most classic Christmas films. I know. Shocking right?! I'm not even sure how that happened, maybe it is because over the years I've worked all sorts of shifts in previous jobs so didn't catch certain films when they were on tv but this year I'm determined to branch out and watch as many festive films I can throughout December. Especially now that Netflix has added a good few of these classics to their collection as well as brand new Netflix only films. I'm going to make it my mission, or a fun challenge at least, to get through as many as I can. I've managed to find some great suggestions from lists on Pinterest so I've used those as a guide (loving my guides at the minute aren't I?!) and also suggestions from friends and family too. As I write this, I have currently watched Elf and The Holiday Calendar so far this month. The latter is so good by the way! We all know how much people enjoy Elf so I'm not going to delve into that one but The Holiday Calendar was a great watch. It was quite cheesy and predictable but it's one of those feel good, easy to watch rom-coms that I enjoy and I feel like it will be a one I'll rewatch throughout December.
So which ones have I watched? Well the Christmas films I have seen before this year are:
Home Alone 1, 2 & 3
The Last Holiday
Elf
Love Actually
Arthur Christmas
Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Four Christmases
A Christmas Carol
The Holiday
Jingle All The Way
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
It's A Wonderful Life
While there are some of them in that list I am hoping to watch again this month, I am going to try and aim to watch ones I've not seen before first in an attempt to broaden my Christmas film horizon. Here's what is on my bucket list for this year, hopefully I can get through a fair few:

The Holiday Calendar (Netflix)
Deck The Halls
Nativity!
I'll Be Home For Christmas (1998 & 2016 version)
Jack Frost
The Princess Switch (Netflix)
The Snowman
Die Hard
Miracle On 34th Street
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
The Santa Clause
The Polar Express
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Christmas With The Kranks
The Muppet Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol
Christmas Wedding Planner
Christmas Inheritance (Netflix)
A Very Murray Christmas (Netflix)
Mariah Carey's Merriest Christmas
The Family Stone
If you think of anymore that are not on the list, please do let me know if I've missed any!
Thanks for reading!
