My Favorite Finds from Maison & Objet Asia 2015

Sparkly home accessories, luxury, bespoke furniture pieces, new materials, sculptural textures were a few of the observations and which caught my attention during the visit to Maison & Objet Asia 2015.

The second edition of the show in Asia, Maison & Object, a French design trade event, is an annual event for home, decoration and design happening from 10 March to 14 March 2015 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center. The show cannot be compared to the event in Paris show in terms of size, collection and display, but still had a display of some stunning furniture and home accessories exhibited by manufacturers/ designers from all over the world. A very small show in size and the number of participants, but it felt good by witnessing some brilliant and innovative work of art.

The show reflected that the choice of materials for any piece is no less an art than the design or craftwork. It's akin to the ingredients in a recipe, and not only does material choice matter, but its quality and preparation helps shape or adorn your space.

Continuing on from last year, another edition of the Interior Design and Lifestyle SUMMIT talks will took place. I could hear from some fantastic design gurus such as Maiori, Neri&Hu, and Grace Wang of VVG.

To sum up, the show was proved that South East Asia is a growing hub of creativity and New Luxury, paving the way to the future of upscale art and living.
