With Christmas just around the corner, I've been setting my sights on getting prepared for the festivities ahead.
One of our family traditions is that every year on December 23rd I throw a Christmas Eve Eve party for the family - it's a night of appropriately festive games and nibbles, and a date in the diary that all of us look forward and see as the true start of Christmas.
This year I wanted to get some special bits & pieces to add to the festive feel of the evening, and what better place to shop for Christmas loveliness than Laura Ashley's Christmas Shop?
With so many gorgeous items on offer I had a hard time narrowing down my choices, but eventually I settled on these bits & pieces.
Bingo is a game loved by young and old alike, so I knew that this Christmas Bingo set would be a hit with each and every party guest! I love the traditional design of the bingo cards and that the set includes everything we need...I know this is a game that will be re-used year after year!
And as you can never have too many party games, I couldn't resist this gorgeous wooden Christmas Skittles set for the little ones too - each of the skittles is painted with a different Christmas character design - the cutest game I ever did see!
One thing I don't have in place yet is a table as I'm waiting for my new one to arrive (fingers crossed it gets here in time!) so I'm so sad not to be able to display these properly in all of their glory but these beautiful gold glitter placemats are going to make our table setting look so special this year. The quality of these is really exceptional.
To set the scene, some Christmas Pomander never goes amiss - I love the glitzy look of this as well as the beautiful yet delicate scent it gives to our home.
I also just adore these glittery rose tealights for adding some festive sparkle to the room too!
And finally, for my much-loved Hot Chocolate Station, novelty Christmas cups are always a hit - and do they come any cuter than this Reindeer mug?!
