Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…
There are some things in life that just make your day better. The little things you love that you wouldn’t want to go without.
These are a few of mine:
Tea
I have multiple cups a day. Black, green and peppermint are my favourites.
Candles
I love candlelight. I have a few scented candles around my house and I always feel great when I have them burning.
Baths
I love baths. They are so relaxing and just divine. I don’t get to have them very often anymore, since B1 and B2 came on the scene. But when I do get the chance it is pure luxury.
Running
I run every morning (with the occasional break day here and there) and I always feel so great afterwards. I used to run before bubs. Since the twins were 9 months old I have run each morning while pushing them in the double pram. Running is my escape. It is the thing I do for me. It helps that B1 and B2 enjoy our runs in the mornings too.
Reading
I love reading. Books of all types, magazines and over the last few years online too. Although, nothing beats holding those paper pages in your hands.
Sunshine
I love the sun. I love summer. I hate cloudy, dull days and hate how they affect my moods.
Yoga
I don’t do as much as I used to pre-twins, but every now and then I do my yoga DVDs and it feels great. I wish I could do some everyday.
Flowers
There is something about fresh flowers. I rarely have fresh flowers in my house, but every now and then on special occasions and sometimes for no reason at all, my hubby brings a bunch home for me.They really bring life to a room.
Cuddles
I am a cuddle addict. I have always loved cuddles.There is no better time for lots of cuddles than the early years of your children’s lives. I am taking as many as I can get for a s long as I can get them.
