My Travel Plans For 2020

My Travel Plans For 2020A new year, a new set of travel plans! This year I have a few destinations in mind to make 2020 an incredible year for travel. Where am I planning to go? Let's find out:

Benidorm

April will be a busy month for me for a number of reasons, but the main reason being my friend Amelia's hen do in Benidorm which I can't wait for! I've never had a girls party holiday in all my 27 years of life and I'm pleased to be ticking that off the life bucket list. Spending some fun in the sun with my old work friends, relaxing by the pool, drinking and partying the night away and giving the hen the best send off before she gets married this summer.

Copenhagen (& Sweden)

After the chaos that I'm sure will ensue in Benidorm, I shortly after set off on my first of (hopefully) many solo trips this year. Starting with Copenhagen. A place that wasn't originally on my list but after speaking to the friends I'd made in Amsterdam last year, they all recommended it and I'd always heard good things about the city already so I didn't need much convincing. I've also planned a day trip to Lund and Malmo in Sweden too for one of my final days of the trip. I did a day trip in Amsterdam and it was one of the (many) highlights of that trip so I'm hoping this trip has the same effect.

Venice

After a hectic April, I want to finally visit this beautiful city in the months that follow. Another city that has been sitting pretty on my bucket list for years now and I have every intention this year to finally set the travel plans in stone. The pretty canals, the intricate architecture and the brightly coloured buildings in Burano Island are calling my name!

Rome

Ahhh Roma, Roma, Roma. You really hold a special place in my heart. My favorite city. After celebrating my friend's hen weekend there last year, I fell in love with it even more than the first time I visited and I've been itching to get back there for a solo adventure. I'd love to go back and explore the less touristic areas and see what I discover away from the crowds. I've been toying with the idea of treating myself and spending my birthday there as I enjoyed being away for my birthday last year in Barcelona. Stay tuned!

Iceland

A trip I had every intention of visiting Iceland last Autumn however, I decided to stop being unsociable and put that solo trip on hold and joined my friends on a group trip to Edinburgh instead to round off the year. This year I am hoping to finally make this trip a reality and see The Northern Lights at last.
