Naturals by Watsons – Hair Conditioner

Posted on the 20 May 2013 by Kimeetay @Kimee_Tay

If you’re reading this post, it’s your lucky day cause I rarely do a blog post with a lot of my pictures in. Haha.

So the other day, my house (or rather my parents’ :P ) ran out of hair conditioner! Hence, I went to look for replenishment over the weekend. It has always been a very natural thing to walk into any Watsons outlet whenever I see one cause Watsons is one awesome pharmacy with just almost everything you need!

This ‘trip’ to Watsons, I came across Naturals by Watsons Hair Conditioner and Hair Mask. I’ll do a review on the hair mask another day. What caught my attention from this product was that it contains organic olive oil. If you have walked into Watsons many times, you would know that Watsons’ home brand is always much cheaper than branded products like Schwarzkopf, L’oreal, Pantene etc.

With great ingredients at a much reasonable price, I thought I should give it a try. You never try, you never know. LOL.

Tadaa! It comes in a 500 ml bottle with a pump. If I’m not mistaken (I didn’t keep the receipt :( ) the price of this product ranges from RM 17 – RM 19. If you are a Watsons’ member, you are entitled to get RM 2 off your purchase! As you can see in the description above, this product contains  organic olive oil all the way from Italy! Maybe, just maybe it’s like 1% of the whole product. Haha.

It also claims to have aloe vera extract and vitamin B5. Here’s a tip. I wikipedia-ed vitamin B5 a.k.a Pantothenic Acid and turns out it shows no benefits to human trial but maybe they still add this into this product to manipulate customers. Haha! I mean, the first thing that comes into your mind when you see the word vitamin = good. Am I not right? Unless you are some intelligent chemist.

Parabens on the other hand are used as preservatives. However, they are becoming more controversial because parabens are found in breast cancer tumors. This is just the simplified version of what they meant by Paraben free. It could probably be absorbed by your scalp and go into your body system. LOL. I don’t know, just a wild guess. I’m no scientist.

Another thing about this product that caught my attention is where this product was made. ☝ As you can see above, this product is made in Thailand. Mel the Lil Sis bought a Schwarzkopf hair treatment (which is obviously much more expensive than Watsons’ home brand LOL) and it was made in China ⁀⊙﹏☉⁀ You get my point right? If you don’t, leave me a comment and I will personally explain to you what I mean. Haha.

This amount is roughly 2 pumps. It has a really light density, a pleasant natural fragrance and a smooth texture. Unlike previous conditioners that I have used which often have a thick consistency and a strong chemical smell to it. I guess this Naturals by Watsons Hait Conditioner is made to be used for daily usage as it is light and not so acidic. If you have dyed / permed / straightened your hair before, I think you would need a stronger conditioner – advise from a hair illiterate. シ

And so, it’s show time! For my hair, I needed to use around 5 pumps. Initially I used only the amount of 3 pumps, it was NOT enough. Haha!

This is just me and my hair after shampoo. Note that it looks hay wire and tangled, but clean. Haha.

Apply an appropriate amount and massage gently from root to scalp. If you have more hair, more conditioner. Less hair, less conditioner. Simple as that. Haha.

And massage some more. LOL.

This is me and my hair with the Naturals by Watsons Hair Conditioner. The hair looks a bit more tamed. Haha. I usually let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 3 – 5 minutes before I rinse it off. After rinsing and towel drying …  voilà

Camera 360

You get my semi-dry uncombed hair and I. Haha! One fact about me is that unless I’m going out, I’m just too lazy to groom my hair. ✌ Urgh! The hair is just flying everywhere! Get me a comb and … voilà

This is my combed hair and I. See how it’s almost dry. I was never the kind that spends half an hour blowing her hair dry. I would just comb and comb it (or just leave it alone) until it’s dry. I always believe in evaporation. Haha! Plus hair dryers always make my hair dry (personal opinion), or maybe I’m just too lazy. However, let’s just pretend I aimed a hair dryer at myself … voilà

Super powerful hair dryer peeps. Haha! I personally think this picture is rather realistic. Don’t you think so? シ

This is me with a rather fake smile (LOL) and a well groomed mane. Haha!

That knees-want-to-be-in-too picture! Haha!

To conclude this, I have to say that Naturals by Watsons Hair Conditioner is a must try. I agree that all conditioners work miracle and offers around the same results. But if you weigh the quality and quantity, I have to say that Naturals by Watsons Hair Conditioner offers you both. One thing I really like about this product is that it does not carry a strong smelling fragrance.

It leaves you with just a hint of natural fragrance. Have you ever got into a situation where your shampoo / conditioner leaves your hair heavily fragrant, and someone comes by and ask you – you just wash your hair ah? (Did you just wash your hair?) and/or you never rinse your hair properly after you wash ah (Did you not rinse your hair properly after you wash it?). Manglish is fun sometimes. Haha!

Grab yours now at your nearest Watson outlet! This series by Watsons also offer shampoo, hair mask, hair serum, body scrub, etc.

Hope you liked my macam yes review and just before I end this post, more selcas! LOL

Malaysia happens to be really, really, reaaaaally hot on somedays. Before heading out, I did myself a messy braid. The only thing I know how to do to my hair besides a typical pony tail. Haha! Overtime it got loose and so I released (is this the right word? LOL) my braid and … voilà

My slightly curled hair and I. Haha! When you can see more of my teeth and less of my eye, it’s NOT a fake smile (>‿◠)✌
