Because I have never been to a southern state besides Florida, I've been wanting to go for a LONG time. I subscribed to Southern Living in 2008, and with each month's issue I'd become more envious of those living in and vacationing in the South.
I texted Mrs. Darcy that we should try and visit all of the cities Mr. Sparks mentioned within the year. She agreed, as I will be very busy next school year in law school that we should begin right away. A few days later, SisterT and I booked our trip and we leave in a few weeks for Destination #1, Charleston. With these trips we are trying to create lasting mother-daughter memories, and learn more about our nation's history.
SisterT made sure to find the homes that were featured in The Notebook, nearby beaches, and historical walks.
I am writing to you all for help! Are there any fun boutiques, restaurants, or sites we should make sure to see? It's only a quick trip, but we want to pack in as much as we can.
I've only seen pictures of Charleston in the videos during Spinning classes, and it appears gorgeous.
I can't wait to hear what you recommend! I'll make sure to post pictures and reviews of our trips... operation "Cities by Sparks" should be an exciting one, y'all!
Thanks for your help, and have a lovely day.
