In the century since the war's, Armistice Day has come to be known as Veterans Day in the U.S., a day we honor those who have served our nation through military service.
It is a day to share our gratitude and remember that gratitude needs to extend beyond that one day.
This year, one of the more significant reminders of that fact came from an unlikely place, "Saturday Night Live."
It was a moment of bi-partisan beauty borne with grace, humility, and even a touch of humor, that I hope we can all learn from. So thank you, veterans, for your service and your example.
