Though, I didn't opt to go completely brunette in in the end, I did it; I did change my hair! It was after much deliberation and many a discussion that it was decided that I am far too pale to go entirely dark. So instead, I am now sporting... a side fringe.
That isn't something I ever thought I'd say/write. I've had the same hair 'style' all of my life; long flat, 'hangy', straight hair. So 'the side fringe' is totally new to me, and at first I felt quite a bit unsure. But just a couple of hours later and I loved it. Additionally I've had brown low-lights put through it to break up the very fake-looking block blonde that had gathered towards the end of my hair, and I'm now very pleased with the color.
So, there you have it; I'd wanted a change for long time, I finally built up the confidence to take a chance, and I'm extremely pleased I did.
