NEW REVIEW! Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolatey Orange

I reviewed limited edition Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolatey Mint recently which were pretty good but a little lacking in minty-ness for me.  Anyway, whilst in Asda the other day I came across another limited edition favour in the form of Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolatey Orange which I hoped might be a bit more flavoursome.  I paid £1 for a pack of 4 bars.

I really do think that name is a bit of a mouthful, especially if you include the Kellogg's part as well,  most people I hear talk about these seem to leave the s of the Krispies part and just call them Rice Krispy Squares and when talking about a singular bar, it is a Rice Krispy Square.  But that is not what is written on the packet...and it's not even a square...it's very confusing.
Anyway I will stop ranting and get on with the review; like the mint flavoured squares, each bar weighs 34g and contains 149 calories (7.5 Slimming World Syns).
There was a very strong orange smell when I opened the shiny orange packet of this bar. Sometimes orange flavoured things can smell a bit artificial and it reminds me of the dentist for some reason which is never a good thing; perhaps it is the disinfectant they use?  Anyway the orange smell here was fresh and sweet.
The texture was what you would expect from a Rice Krispies Squares, chewy and sticky but light at the same time.  The orange flavor was nice and quite strong as I had hoped and it was throughout the bar rather than just in the small chunks of chocolate as the wrapper implied.
Verdict Both my husband and I enjoyed this bar, it's a great a addition to the Rice Krispies Squares range, I hope that they decide to bring it out permanently.
