New Rug=New Look

Posted on the 18 June 2013 by Suzanne Robinson @mummy2twinsblog

I have been after a new rug for our living room for a while. Our old one was purchased well over 10 years ago and I not only wanted to change the feel and look of the living room, I wanted to get something new as well. I mentioned my thoughts to hubby and he proceeded to tell me, we cannot afford it and really it might need a good clean to make it look better, well he could be right, so…

I vacuumed,

Swept,

And mopped and it still did not bring this rug back to its former glory. Yes the question of the new rug was still afoot but alas it was not going anywhere.

The universe must have heard my pleas, lough and behold I get sent a wonderful rug from oo.com.au and it answers all my wants. It is new, a different look to the old one although similar, but it lets me get the change I was after.

Once I got the new rug, I did all the things to make the old one new again. I wanted to start the room all fresh, so again I…

Vacuumed,

Swept,

And mopped… but then I laid down the new rug. It was great to see the bright colours of the new rug. It made me think. Was it just very bright? Or was ours old? Could it be that ours was just dirty and was never going to be as bright again? Maybe I should not think such things and just enjoy our new rug.

I did all this while my girls were at pre-school so they had no idea the new rug had been installed. They were super excited about the change and as you can see from the pictures very happy indeed.

Have you been hanging to change the way a room looks? I know I have. I am keen to do some DIY around this house but it is a matter of money that is holding us back. Yes the standard cash, we need more to do the things we would really like to do.  One good things is that the rug was not that expensive, but looks like it cost a fortune, well I think so. What about you? With oo.com.au you can change rug and change the room very cheaply, they have a look for everyone and for all different areas.  The rug that I chose costs under $100 and is just a bargain if you ask me. They have different sizes and different prices so something for every taste and size of room.

The great thing about shopping with oo.com.au is that the rug got delivered to my door, so that is a plus with kids and a busy schedule. No mucking about trying to squish it in the car or wrestle with it from post office to the car with kids as well. It is a convenient way to shop.

Thanks so much to oo.com.au for letting me trial the rug, it is just wonderful and we adore it. As The Big Lebowski said, “the rug really tied the room together” and now I do agree, this new rug, ties my room together.

Disclaimer: This is a Sponsored Post.  oo.com.au was lovely and kind to let me test out their lovely rug. All comments are from a mommy that has tested out the product and given a real account of what it was like.
