Here, I share what I think about all kinds of things.  Maybe it’s about the differences between North America and Italy like this post and this one.  Or maybe it’s about a new trend (like this post) or perhaps something that’s going on with the world and I just want to talk about it. And, every now and then, I’ll get all philosophical on you (perfect example here)!

Mothering + Cooking + Crafting

As much as I love talking about fashion and going out and doing things, the person at the centre of my universe will always be my son.  From the time that he was born, 19 months ago, no other person has occupied more of my heart, mind and soul.  Under “Mothering” I share the recipes I create or modify and every now and then the Montessori crafts or projects that I do.  I thought I was crafty until I started to follow some serious crafting blogs and now I realize I’m only a 5% crafter, so every now and then I’ll post inspiration from who’s crafting around the net.

Working in the Industry

Living in Italy has a lot of perks (just don’t look at the political side of things!) and, one of those perks is that certain industries and careers exist here that just don’t exist in North America.  For example, I work for a small artisan leather accessory brand that specializes in exotic leather goods.  We’re talking alligator, python and lizard along with the nicest calf leather on the planet.  I’ve had the pleasure of representing this brand for a few years, which means travelling to Paris, London, Milan, NY and Florence and meeting the best (and worst) that the “industry” has to offer.  I’d love to share what I’ve learned about working in Fashion and how to survive this industry when you don’t make luxury money (I’ve written about that too here).
