Starting Wednesday, November 20th a new series begins!
Reasonstodress.com was born because I am a WAHM (Work at Home Mom) living in Italy with a toddler. I went from working in the corporate sector in downtown Toronto, to living in “super stylish” Milan to working in the luxury fashion biz.
I didn’t think I was ready to stay home, be between a baby and a computer and never be seen…..and then, to my surprise, the exact opposite happened.
I couldn’t believe how many opportunities I had to get dolled up and leave the house. This country is filled with reasons to dress.
Every Wednesday I’ll share with you the reason I dressed, where I went, why I went and what I wore. I’ve already spoken a bit about the whole concept of an Italian “Aperitivo“, but I’ll also elaborate on some of the simple events, festivals, small town “sagre” (don’t know what “sagre” means? you’ll find out!) and places I discover.
Where is the fun in dressing if you have no where to go? I never “dress” for dressing’s sake, a lot of my outfit shots are taken as I’m out and about with my family. Oh and HERE’s something that’s different for you, I take my toddler EVERYWHERE. I mean EVERYWHERE. He accompanies us out for drinks with our friends, on our weekend trips to Rome and on our mini-vacations to Berlin.
I’ve already taken multiple transAtlantic flights with him and he’s seen more restaurant menus than I care to mention.
