Well this year we decided that we should keep it down to a minimum. You see about a week and a half ago Jared and I were not really financially planned to get a new puppy, but we did. We didn't have a puppy fund, so our joint wallet it pretty pitiful right now. It was an unexpected expense, but definitely the best decision. We are calling Indie our Valentines present. He counts as my gift, Jared's gift, and Shia's gift. He has a lot to live up to! That washer and dryer really are pretty awesome... and well since we aren't going to do any material gifts for the day I decided to give Jared another kind of gift.
My gift to Jared is that I want to make him happy. My gift to Jared is this list of things that I will work on to make me a better wife and to give him a happier life :)
1. I'll pick up my clothes after I change instead of leave them all over our bedroom on the floor. 2. My dishes will go into the dishwasher not just the sink!3. I am working on being positive all the time. I need to remember that, and not expect you to want to come home from a long day at work and want to hear about any negative details of my day.4. The dogs need discipline. I won't go into hysterics when they need to be in "time out".5. I will give you your "me time".6. The dog poop needs to be picked up consistently. I won't wait around for you to do. I will work on picking it up after work when I have the puppies out.7. Sometimes I won't complain when you want to watch your sports for a few hours. There are other things that I can do while you watch a few games.8. When you're struggling, having a bad day, or needing anything I will be there for support and with open ears to help solve the problem.9. I will stop asking if you love me every 30 seconds. I am aware that you do in fact love me.10. I promise that I will always take time out of my week to care for myself. I am a much happier person when I take time to take an extra long shower, do a mask on my face, do my nails, and take some pampering time. I know you like me more when I am happy :)
Bonus: I promise I will stay hot for you pumpkin brains. You think I am good lookin' now and I love that! I want to be your trophy wife. I like that your proud to have me on your arm! I have some good genetics - so at least I've got that going for me and with some good make up and hair dye. I clean up well JUST for you. I'll straighten my hair even though it takes a million years, because that is how you like it andI like making you happy!
