Northern Gate Restaurant is within The Gateway Hotel on Residency Road, Bengaluru. The Gateway Hotel is part of Taj Group of Hotels. It is a five-star property within the heart of the city. The hotel is quite close to the IT Hub. In fact, it is more of a business hotel. My story of this particular visit here is quite interesting. Rather, you will get to know and appreciate the hospitality. My purpose of stay here was to visit Bosch R&D center. It was a late night flight from Delhi. Reaching the hotel by 11.30 was a sort of just chèck-in and then sleep.
Though I was hungry but was ready to compromise beacuase it was quite late. But to my surprise, right at the reception we were first requested to rush to the restaurant for dinner. The Northern Gate restaurant is just next to the reception area, on the same floor. By chance, th chef was also there at the reception just to check for any new check-ins before winding up and closing the dining area. In fact, the dinner time is upto 11pm and by now it was already 11.45.
The food was really fabulous. And before winding up we were confirmed if we require any fresh breads etc. That was a superb level of hospitality. The dinner is buffet and you have a decent but not wide variety. As a matter of fact, for specific items tht are not part of thè buffet, ala-carte is always there to opt for and pay accordingly.

Ragi Dosa, Bajre ki Roti with Bhindi-chana subzi, bitter gourd juice, amla juice, Brahmi juice, and chamomile tea were the best part of my breakfast at Northern Gate Restaurant. There are other varieties in buffet breakfast. Dosas and omelets are as per order. I tried Cheese & Mushroom Omelet and it was fantastic. My overall stay at The Gateway Hotel Residency Road Bengaluru was fabulous. And so was the food experience at The Northern Gate Restaurant.
