[October 18]: Growth & Adaptation Are Two Characteristics Of The Living Organism

Posted on the 18 October 2012 by Sarahkasm @Sarahkasm

I mean you no harmI swear itGive me your arm, lovePut your hand inside mineIt will all be over quicklyI promise
Give me your mind, dear,I want to remove its kinksBefore they bring you to ruin
And give me your heart,I want to soothe it,Sing it into a softer rhythm
HabibtiWhat have they done to you?Who are these men who punched youBefore they've touched you?And who are these women who filledYour eyes with a surge of liesBlinding you to yourself?
Show me them.
Show me these so-called friends,Who have not been there to support youWhen you limpedWho dragged you down with their heavinessThat which they wouldn't carry themselves

Show me these people. We need to fix this,Crucial needs call for radical measuresAnd you, darling, You need to be free
I will walk with you into the fireSo we can burn off every single leechThat has sunk its jaws into your bones,Sucking the life out of you, made you its homeYou are the host of a parasite,This is not symbiosis- you should know this
The fire will kill them offBut it will burn.It will be hell.It will be hard. But I mean you no harm. That is why I will walk with you, arm in armI know your story all too wellTake it from me: You’ll need a friend In this hell.------------October Poetry: in the style of April Poetry (U.S. National Poetry Month),U.K’s poetry month is October.  Personal Mission: 31 days, 31 poems. Challenge Accepted.  Link to others: http://sarahkasm.tumblr.com/october-poetry-2012
