Sorry, y'all. I'm ranting today. I think it needs to be said.
Have you ever seen those reality shows centered around the south? There are tons of them. "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and "Swamp People" are some that come to mind right away. These tv shows portray southerners as hillbillies. While there are hillbillies in the south, not everyone is one.
I have been all over the south, and I can count on one hand the number of hillbillies I have met. Most southerners are polite people with morals and values. Mobile, Alabama's Azalea Trail Maids are a good representation of true southerners. They are smart, hospitable young women who work very hard to be able to put the south in a good light. I think they do a great job.
What I'm trying to say is, the south is not the same thing as what is portrayed on tv. I hope you didn't think so in the first place, but I needed to make sure.
