It was the first fine day of spring, or maybe the second,
anyway spring flowers on the corner of 71st Street
which also has rather a fine church
and a slightly over the top ornate building. Not the neighborhood I'm used to at all.
Vegetation alert: Shakespeare Garden, Central Park
where we talk to the gardener who has planted over 11,000 bulbs
and we see Japonica and primula
Tete-a tete mini daffs and a rustic fence
How the towers loom.....
Then time to go home on the bus
which goes through Times Square
which I find a bit alarming and over the top and not pretty at all.
I cannot quite fathom what all the cops are doing outside the Hard Rock Cafe
or all the people rushing about.
