My husband and I are weirded out by “ones.” I know that might sound freaky to anyone reading this, but let me explain. When we first started dating, he told me that he notices when the clock either says 1:11 or 11:11 almost every single day. As soon as he mentioned it, I began to notice it, too. It’s the craziest thing, but it does, in fact, happen often to us.
We used to talk about how we could never tell if seeing ones was a bad thing or a good thing. We pondered this little oddity until November 11. 2010. (11/11, of course). That was the day that our most favorite and beloved kitty, Pumpkin, died. We knew then, for sure, that there was nothing good about seeing ones.
You may have noticed that today’s blog post is #1111. Automatically, I can’t help but think about seeing ones. My new ages sister-in-law says that when you see ones, an angel is looking down on you. I’m not so sure. Regardless, I had to acknowledge the strangeness I feel over this blog number, so my song of the day is Three Dog Night’s “One Is the Lonliest Number.” Take for what it is, but for me, ones are weird.
(I’m writing on my iPad today, so you will have to CLICK HERE to go to YouTube to hear the song of the day.)
