It ended up being last week. So for a whole week, this has been in the "black hole". On numerous occasions I have said, "Get it done now because you don't know if something will come up." Meaning, one of us not be there to get a "project" done on time.
So in thinking about it this morning, I decided "something came up". Emailed my boss and said I was taking a vacation day. A "ME" day! :)
So what did I do on my ME day?
Well, after I sent the email, checked all my other emails; facebook; google reader; and twitter, Titan and I went back to sleep. We awoke a few hours later and decided to get up. Titan was anxious to play. Yes, I got a lil bit of video that I'll post next week on Titan Tuesday. :)
Next was to get showered and head off to the grocery store. Before the grocery store, I stopped at Dollar General. Believe it or not, they have Titan's favorite treat. The only non-natural treat he gets. So I peruse the clothing section. Oh my! They have some cute new things! Yes, I'm definitely not too proud to wear Dollar General clothes or shoes.
So I pick up a couple tube tops. You know, the kind that hang down below your waste and are flowing (non-form fitting).
They also had a couple lil cute jersey like material sundresses (about knee high) so I grabbed two of those!
Then I saw a sale on sandals. I tried to walk away but I couldn't. I had to! I peaked and walked away with these lil cuties.
Then I realized. I'm becoming one of "those" women. You know, the ones who always wear the free flowing clothing, the lil sundresses, the non-form fitting clothes....you know, comfy wear! My Mother was always wearing comfy wear. She was a larger plus size woman and I'm assuming it was just more comfortable than wearing a pair of jeans. I'm becoming just like Mom!
Have I mentioned I hate wearing jeans anymore? I can never get them to sit where I want them to. Not at the waist, not above the belly button, and definitely not too low so my bikini line might show. I'm all about comfort now!
Is this due to my age? Is my style of clothes changing because I'm starting to "own" my age and my body style?
How about you? Has your style in clothes been changing over the years or are you still stuck in the 90's? :)
