Fairy Bread, Brownie or Haystack anyone?
My good friend Shara (the Op Shopping Ninja) was in CHCH for a visit recently. The girly day out scheduled included visits to a couple op shops and thrift stores
Thrifting Mission for the day: find bomb proof party trays & serving plates for my little one’s 2nd birthday.
The Results:
Mini cupcakes, Rice Crispie Squares & Dinosaur Eggs
The 2 fabulous retro serving trays shown above were discovered at the Christchurch City Mission Sydenham shop.
Fruit Plate that gets bypassed for the Sweets
More retro Tupperware, adding to my growing collection. Picked up from the Addington Salvation Army. A real cheap find @ $2: the white stickers were 1/2 price that day!
Cheese & Crackers
Newbie Blogger Alert!: Didn’t think to take a pic of the goodies on the trays before they were eaten!
These mini cupcakes were gluten & dairy free
Actually, come to think of it, these 2 containters were garage saled/gifted from a buddy who was shifting to Western Australia.
A pic of the cake, by chance? Yes, I did manage to think of that! Again, gluten and dairy free, to make sure everyone could eat it. Still tasted pretty good too.
