Earlier this week we headed off to Dorset on baby-friendly Autumn break with Blue Chip Holidays.
Blue Chip Holidays specialise in organising 4 and 5 star holiday cottages and lodges in some of the UKs best locations, and their Baby Blue Chip Collection takes the hassle out of holidaying for parents with little ones in tow!
Choosing a property from the Baby Blue Chip collection ensures peace of mind for parents, as your self catering accomodation will include all of the following: *Stair gates *For properties with pools, barriers will be in place, usually around the patio area *A non-slip bath mat *Bed guards *Books, toys and DVDs *Cot & linen *Baby monitor *Blackout blinds or curtains *Night light *High chair *Booster seat *Cutlery for babies and children *Blender *Microwave *Bath toys and non-slip mat *Changing mat *Steriliser *Potty *Child's toilet seat & step
I can't tell you how much easier this made the packing experience for us! We travel quite a lot, infact this was our 10th trip away this year!, and packing is usually the part I dread for days beforehand - with a 2 year old and a tiny baby in tow there is just so much to remember. Even clothing, nappies, wipes and bottles alone take up so much room as babies need so much stuff - but when you start adding in sterilising equipment, baby monitors and so on it becomes a real pain and before you know the car is overloaded!
This time it all felt different - we knew that so many of these things were there waiting for us, and so packing was just a case of clothes, nappies, wipes, and bottles - that was it!! The job was done in half the time and I was much less stressed...all that was left to do was look forward to the holiday!
We set off to Dorset feeling pretty relaxed, and after a calm 2 hour journey from Devon we arrived at the stunning Chisel Barn FoxDitch - our accomodation for the next 3 nights.

The barn conversion was right next to a working farm so we initially worried there may be some noise disturbance but I`m pleased to report there was none!
The stunning countryside all around us was a real plus point, and inside the barn was beautiful - clean, modern, stylish, minimalist - the perfect setting for a peaceful few days break from it all.
I'd love to say we spent loads of time exploring Dorset and doing all kinds of things, but truth be told we didn't want to leave the beautiful barn! We spent the majority of our time relaxing in front of the lovely wood burning fire, watching old movies, and just taking in the beautiful autumnal sunsets.

We did head out one day to nearby Monkey World which we really enjoyed, and we spent some evenings dining out in nearby Winborne and Poole - Chisel Barn was an ideal location for exploring Dorset as everywhere seemed to be a maximum of 20 miles away!
We had everything we needed to keep us comfortable and cosy, and everything provided was very high quality such as ELC toys, the latest kids DVDs for Tyne and Mamas & Papas high chair for Noah.
I can't stress enough how relaxing the time away was and how much easier traveling with Baby Blue Chip made the whole experience from start to finish - I will certainly be booking breaks with them in the future, and would highly recommend them to anybody.
