We were delighted to recently be selected as Babyologists for Babies R Us.
We were sent a Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Crawl Around Car to put through its paces and now it's our job to feed back on our thoughts!
The car is aimed at children aged 6 months +, and provides a variety of stimulating activities.
There is a shape shorter in the car door (which opens and closes to allow baby to sit inside), the wiper on the front of the car turns to reveal a day or night scene, there are turnable keys in the ignition, a moveable steering wheel, and many other delightful little features to keep little one entertained.
As with most of the Laugh & Learn range, you can select either speaking mode or music mode.
We usually have the car on music mode as Tyne loves his music! The radio function is one of my favorite features - the radio plays a selection of cute "driving" songs and there is a voiceover from a DJ every now & then informing baby of the current traffic situation on The Rainbow Bridge and other such cute little messages! Very sweet and a bit of a giggle for the parents!
Tyne has played with this car non-stop since it arrived and I think it has to be among the Top 3 of all toys he's ever owned - he always heads over it to it and it keeps him entertained for a long time.
When we first opened it, he sat and played with it for 45 minutes without looking up once - which I think is the longest I have seen him play undistracted with any toy!
He loves opening and closing the door, playing with the wheels, pressing all the buttons on the radio, and "driving" the steering wheel.
I would say the car is possibly a little old for a 6 month old to use - my 6 month old nephew is just about sitting but doesn't show any interest in the car yet - however at 12 months Tyne adores it, and I can see him using it for a long time to come.
I would say the car would be best suited from age 9 months up, but is certainly a very worthwhile investment for years of imaginative play.
