Our Day At Cadburys World

Posted on the 12 July 2012 by Therealsupermum @TheRealSupermum

I took Casey & Cameron on a weekend away with my mum, 2 aunties, my cousins partner and three of my cousins. We traveled with National Express to Cadburys World and what should have been a three and a half hour journey became a six and a half nightmare of sorts.

There was a rather nasty motorway accident which brought the traffic to a stand still, I am so pleased I packed plenty of sandwiches and snacks for the kids as we were stuck on the bus for hours. To be fair to them all 5 kids behaved brilliantly but one young child belonging to an old couple I was ready to lock in the bus toilet.

Honestly he was so annoying, my aunt and I were sat right where the toilet was and it stunk, I was retching every time the toilet door opened and trust me this kid went every 10 minutes. I did tell him if he went back in there I was going lock him in it. Thankfully my kids went at the service station as I would not have liked them to use it.

The driver was comical, once off the motorway we were directed in another direction, the poor driver got lost and as we drove down a very narrow road, yes we got stuck, he could not get round the bend as a car was parked right on the corner. After sitting for 20 minutes even the driver had enough and called all the men off the bus, there were only 5 of them and they bounced the car off the road, honestly I should have worn a tenna lady, you have seen nothing like it.

We reached Cadbury World finally but we only had 3 hours instead of 5 to enjoy it.

Outside The Chocolate Factory

The factory was pretty great but I have to say we spent more time in a never ending line of people, waiting to get into the different areas.

The Kids Loved The Outdoor Area

I have to admit I did think I would get more free chocolate, we all received 4 bars free, where was the magic chocolate pies where I could just put my mouth around for a quick top up?

Learning About The History

We went back in time and learned the secret behind Cadbury Dairy Milk’s great chocolate bar. We then created our own Cadbury magic by choosing either popcorn, marshmallows, biscuit pieces which was added with warm liquid milk chocolate   to your cup for us to eat. I had marshmallows.

They Looked Fab

We boarded a Beanmobile and enjoyed a gentle ride through a chocolate wonderland full of familiar characters, they looked amazing but I would have much rather have ate them all!

How could I not spend a fortune in the worlds biggest Cadburys shop?

My Mum & Me In A Flake Bath

It was soon time to get back on the bus and head to our hotel, which can I add was amazing.

Casey Loved Her New Bed

We had a great night in the hotel, a rather nice three course meal followed by a few drinks while the kids all played pool. There was an Indian birthday party at the hotel that night so our kids all teamed up with the kids from the party and spent hours playing pool. I have to say we did have a good gay at dancing with them, but we failed.
