I'm finally getting around to sharing a little home office room tour here on my blog today. Sorry it's been so long! It's taken a while to just get all of the little details of each room to come together. But this room is pretty much there and so here it is - our home office tour!
Our desk is made up of two of the same IKEA desks to give us the length of desk that we required/wanted. In the middle of the two desk is the ALEX drawers from IKEA.
On the left side we have our MacBook and a couple of Adam's Hot Toy Star Wars figures (which he loves!). We actually both prefer to use the iMac, but we have the MacBook for the rare times that we work together and also as a spare computer to be able to use around the house.
Our lamp (at the end of the table) is from IKEA and was super cheap. The chairs are two different ones. The one on the right side and furthest away in this picture is from Staples and is so comfy for my back, it took a little while to find the right one, but this is the comfiest one I have found.
We have two little quote signs hanging in our home office. This one is from etsy.
Our filing cabinet and a plant that is half dead and half alive (I'm terrible at taking care of plants!).
The great thing about having moved to this room from the room we used to be in is (apart from the bigger size) the fact that we have cupboards and wardrobes to hide all of Adam's LEGO stock and other things such as our new office supplies from Engelbert Strauss. If you read my blog regularly you may have seen how overcrowded our previous room was due to a lack of storage (you can see it in this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ex9JtZ8cOAQ).
Adam's displaying some of his own personal collection of LEGO in our home office using these white IKEA shelves, but he is thinking of taking some of the shelves out and buying a display cabinet to give him more space to display more! Our flooring is the same flooring we've used in our loft conversion and across the entire upstairs of our house and is from Quickstep.
Where Adam and I both work from.
A frame and a print we have hanging between our two office windows. I thought something motivational would work well in the room we both work from. :)
Our other wardrobes - you wouldn't believe how much we are able to store away in them. It's so nice to be able to just the close the doors and suddenly see it all vanish and look tidy!
A better view of the flooring.
A is for Alex and Adam. :) And I love this little camera money box I found, it totally suits me as I'm forever taking photos!
A plant that I am (sorta) keeping alive (yay), a little quote I like and our pen pot.
My new planner that I really really like and my notebook, I use these daily for planning my blogging and videos. (I'm getting much better at planning these days - it must be the new pretty stationery helping me!). :)
Adam's own custom creations - his LEGO Lightsabers, Kylo Ren's, Rey's and Luke's.
Our little canvas located on top of our printer is from Photobox. It' features a selection of some of our favorite family snaps.
And there you have it, our new home office space. We're so pleased with how much more room we have and the fact that the decor is much more our sort of style then it was in the (very) crowded room we had before. We finally feel that we have something that works for us in terms of space for Adam's business and we're really happy that it's now all finally finished.
