I met Francesca back in 2011, Adam and I had met her for coffee to discuss her wedding photography at a place that now has a very special place in our hearts - the beautifully located Three Lakes, in Hertfordshire. Francesca impressed us from the start, she was so lovely to talk to, she oozed creativity and talent and she made us feel so relaxed. We clicked with her straight away, it was almost felt like we were old friends. The following year, Adam and I married each other at the Three Lakes outside in the sunshine over looking the lakes, the view was breathtaking and Francesca along with her Husband was there to capture our entire day.
It's not something that I say lightly, but Francesca and her Husband are honestly two of the most nicest people so when they arrived to photograph our big day, it was genuinely just really nice to have them both there. Before the wedding, I'd spent so long browsing Francesca's photography blog that I knew our wedding photos would come out just as I had hoped for, but when I received the final photos, Adam and I were quite literally blown away - they were far better than anything we'd even imagined. We look back on our wedding photographs often and with such fond memories - we're so glad that we chose Francesca as our photographer.
Just before the birth of Logan, I messaged Francesca (who I've stayed in touch with since) as I knew from the first time around with Ethan, that pregnancy, birth and those newborn early days just pass by far too quickly. I wanted her to capture either my growing bump or to photograph Logan during the first few days of his life. In the end, Adam and I opted for one of her newborn photography sessions. In all honesty, before Francesca photographed Logan at six days old, I'd never really 'got' the whole appeal to newborn shoots. I didn't think it was something I'd personally like, but during and after our shoot I completely changed my mind.. I now know, especially so because newborns change a great deal visually in their first few weeks, that there's nothing quite like a professional photographer really capturing your Son (or Daughters) newborn 'look'.
Our newborn session took place in Francesca's studio, which is the entire top floor of her absolutely stunning home in Cambridgeshire. Just like she had when she'd photographed our wedding nearly three years before, she made us all feel completely at ease. I'd been worried about taking Ethan - my rather inquisitive toddler, as well as our newborn Son Logan to her home and studio, especially as we hadn't really ventured out with them both before. But I needn't have worried, Francesca, being the type of person that she is, encouraged us to make ourselves feel at home. She has a Son herself who is around Ethans age, so she completely understood, she'd got some of her little ones toys out especially for Ethan to play with and she even took Ethan outside with her so that he could watch the diggers that were there near to her house building new homes.
Francesca's has such a relaxed, adaptable, warm and friendly personality She's not only one of the most genuinely lovely people, she's also incredibly talented. She's able to get the most perfect shots of not only a newborn baby, but also a very active little toddler who doesn't always like to be photographed and me - someone who freezes and clams up everytime that the camera faces my direction! She can even continue to hold a conversation at the same time too, all whilst getting these amazing shots - it's pretty incredible!
When Francesca sent us our photographs from the shoot, Adam and I were again, blown away, just as we were with the photos that she'd taken of our wedding day. In these photos, she's not only captured Logan perfectly, but she's managed to capture us all perfectly as a whole, especially Ethan - there's so much of his personality in the pictures. We're so pleased with them, we knew that we could trust Francesca to capture exactly what we wanted - the very beginning of what will hopefully be a very long, happy, healthy journey together as a family of four and when we look at these photos, we really believe that she's captured exactly that!
