Our Year In Review

This is a quick look back at our 2011. I wish I had time to find and post pictures from throughout the year but that could take hours!! So, here's quick overview... and I know I'm probably leaving a lot out but these are the first things that come to mind.
January - We spent New Year's Eve 2010 with friends and rang in the New Year! It seems like yesterday!
Little C turned 5 months old on the 20th. He started scooting across the room (army crawl) between 4-5 months
We had Bug's second birthday party on Saturday, January 22nd. She turned 2 the next day.
We finally got a second car! It remains one the of the best things that happened all year... as I also regained a lot of my sanity!
February - Little C was 6 months on the 20th. He started really crawling right around 6 months.
March - I don't remember anything significant....

April - My mom was diagnosed with lymphoma.
We joined our new church home group and made lots of new friends!
May -.... Again, nothing significant that I can remember

June - We lost 2 young family friends suddenly, in two separate accidents, within a week or so. It was a sad month.
Bug turned 2 1/2 on June 23rd.
We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on June 25th.
Little C started walking sometime in June, right around 10 months old.

July - We celebrated July 4th by watching fireworks in a parking lot and on the street corner! (Lots of people here do the same... we're not too weird.)
Spent many days in the pool struggling with Little C who hated every type of baby floatie device known to man and hated being held... but, of course, was too young to swim around alone.
Bug, meanwhile, was a fish this summer! I was so proud of her. She was very brave in the water and surprised me by loving her little arm floaties and "swimming" around by herself all summer.
August - We had Little C's party with family and friends on his first birthday, August 20th.
I turned 31 on the 29th. Celebrated on a few different days with family & friends.

September - Hubby celebrated his 36th birthday on the 25th. We celebrated with his family.

October - My mom finished chemo treatments, scans showed the cancer was all gone and her doctor declared her in remission. Definitely the BEST news we got this year!!
Halloween!

November - Thanksgiving!
This November marked one year in this apartment! The longest we've lived in one place since we were married. It was so nice staying put this year!

December -Bug is almost 3! And Little C turned 16 months.

Overall this has been a great year! After 2.5 years of changes.... married in 2008, several moves, two pregnancies and new babies in 2009 and 2010..... it has been SO nice to spend 2011 feeling a little more settled in marriage, motherhood and (while we're not our own home) at least we're feeling a little more settled in this apartment since we plan to stay here until we actually get a house of our own!
Looking forward to another great year in 2012!!
