Wouldn’t you love it if there was a radio station that only played the kind of music that you enjoyed? As of Sunday, I have my own radio station and you can have one too. It’s a fantastic app that I have only just discovered called Pandora Radio. Once you sign up for your free Pandora account, you enter the name of your favorite artist or genre and within seconds, your radio station is launched. It will choose songs that are by your favorite artist and then select ones that are similar. If you don’t like the song, you simply give it the thumbs down and you will hear less from that artist.
So, what is Pandora? It’s internet radio that you can listen to for free on most ‘smart’ devices. Once you create an account, you can sync it with all of your mobile devices and on the Pandora website.
You can also create more than one ‘station.’ I started one up for Dora with The Wiggles as her favorite artist It played a great selection of kids music for an hour or so.
Tonight, I had my iPad in the kitchen with some groovy tunes playing via Pandora. It was a nice change. We have also hooked up a little bluetooth speaker to the iPhone to play our music through.
According to the Pandora website, this app is available for Windows, Andriod, Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Nook and Kindle Fire.
