My son acts like he is so tough, but really, he is a big scaredy cat. A few weeks ago, we found a scorpion in his bedroom, and he hasn’t slept in there since. He’s even scared to go into the bathroom if the lights are off, so we always need to accompany him – even in our own house.
Last night took the cake though. My daughter lost her tooth at school earlier in the day, and my son didn’t want to go to bed, because he was scared of the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy??!!??? C’mon, kiddo! That is over the top ridiculous!
How could this rough and tough no nonsense kid be scared of so many things? Parents, please chime in if you have any advice!
My song of the day is Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid,” because we can all get a little paranoid, I guess – even the people who don’t seem like they ever would.
