I used to see blogging as this paved road to health. Complete with a road map, stone walls to keep me on track and signs to ensure I got to, what I considered, this perfect place of health. Wich of course was a whopping 150 lbs and running a half marathon ever couple weeks.
I liked reading about other peoples healthy lives and assumed if it worked for them it would work for me too. I’d try and eat the same way as my favorite bloggers and do the same workouts. But I hated it. I never felt happy with myself because I never felt as satisfied with my eats and workouts as it appeared the bloggers felt.
But every person is different. I might not be the healthiest person on the block but I’m a lot healthier today, eating my BBQ sandwiches, then I was 5 months ago trying to live like other healthy living bloggers.
Here’s the thing. I don’t want to eat breakfast most mornings. I definitely don’t enjoy running outside (these days) and I like going to the gym and just doing what looks good for as long as it feels good.
So I guess I just want all of you… The 6 blog friends I have that read my blog… To pave your own healthy living path! Do what works for you and makes you feel the happiest. If that includes muffins then it includes muffins. If it means only working out 3 days a week then so be it. Dont succum to the blogging peer pressures!
To powder or not to powder???
So I have a healthy question for you all because you are all a million times smarter and more savvy than me and you never-ever stear me wrong!
Do you drink proten powder shakes???
So I’ve noticed that I’m really lacking in the protein category. I do write down what I eat in a fitness app. Mainly just to make sure I eat enough with all my fitness. I realized I was massively under eating (surprising) because I’m already pretty active before my fitness, then adding those calories I definitely needed more fuel. And whoppo… I’ve lost 5 pounds. CRAZY!!
Anyways, I’m only getting about 12-15% of my daily nutrients from protein!!! Es no bueno.
