(picture not mine, picture credit to to Plato's Closet Paoli, PA)A few weeks ago, Brittney and I went through our tons of clothes and got rid of seven grocery bags worth of good quality, name brand, great condition, clean and wearable clothing and shoes. Even some books. Today was the only available day to take that stuff to Plato's Closet. We had  heard of it from friends, and they said that they got paid a lot from their clothing that they sold to Plato's closet. Well, we went there, and we gave them our clothes. We signed in and gave them all the information. They said it would take maybe an hour because of 'first come, first serve'. There were of course people before us, not a big deal. An hour, whatever you know? So, we looked around Plato's store for a little bit. Maybe trying to find some good deals and cute stuff. As we were looking, we were noticing some crappy clothes. Like, clothing in not very good condition at all.  The shoes had lots of scuff marks. The shoes were muddy or ripped up. The jeans were all ripped up. Not the fashionable kind of holes in the jeans, but the ripped up raggety jeans. Their selection was terrible! We left and went to TJ Maxx next door, I will post about the things we got there in a bit, but we went shopping there and I got a sweater and a nail polish. I will post about that later. We spent probably 35 minutes in TJ Maxx and went back to Plato's closet. We probably spent a whole other hour in Plato's. They took a long time to look through our clothes. I know that there are a lot of people to get done, but when we came back into Plato's closet, for the last hour, they were sorting through our stuff. They also took their sweet time, having conversations and taking little breaks, and stuff. It's like... ok... we are waiting. We spent two hours waiting. Finally, they called us up and we headed to the front desk. The brought up the black bin and it looked empty. The lady said, "Ok, we only found 2 pairs of pants and 1 shirt. Here is $12." .... TWELVE ? $12?????????!!!!!!!!! WHAT?! For two hours that we have been waiting, for the seven grocery bags of stuff that we brought in, full of good quality, name brand, great condition, clean wearable clothes, you found three things you can take? for $12? Bull Crap! I wanted to scream! Are you serious!? I am never going there again. We are never going there again. That place sucks! I know that they want to make profit off stuff they sell at the store, but freakin $12 and only three things? They gave back a Hollister sweater. It's in great condition. They gave back Aeropostale jeans and shirts, they gave back American Eagle and Hollister jeans. We can get more money out of the stuff from our yard sale that we are having next weekend. My mom, my sister and I were furious. We were so furious and angry. Never going back there and I recommend you don't either. They have them all over the United States. They suck! I don't know how are friends did so well there. Anyway, I just wanted to give them a bad review because that was the biggest waste of my time, biggest waste of our time. They gave back all seven of the grocery bags and took three things. THREE THINGS. Can't believe it. Still pissed off over it. Sorry for the language... I guess I didn't say anything too bad. But really people? We probably brought in $500 worth of clothes and they gave us $12 for it. OH MY WORD. So angry... so angry. Never go to Plato's closet readers! Spread it around! NEVER GO THERE. They have a terrible selection and they don't do a good job at finding good quality clothes to buy. Man, I am angry. Thank you reading my little rant and vent. I had to get out my feelings. I am not a maniac, or a psycho. I have a lot more feelings left in me, but I can't let them out on my blog. Anyway, the point is, just don't do business with Plato's closet. They rip you off.
