…Play On

It's the most wonderful time of the year. If that short sentiment has you cringing at the mere reference to another holiday song, this time of year is your own personal hell.

If you're looking for sympathy, you've come to the wrong blog.

Here's the thing about holiday songs, they get one maybe two months of play per year. So, why would you begrudge them a little extra playtime?

It's their time to shine before being locked away again for the next 10 to 11 months. Let them have this. More importantly, let the people who enjoy Christmas music have this.

You're entitled to your opinion (however wrong it may be), but raining on others joy parades is going above and beyond. Whether you realize it or not, that's what you're doing when you complain about holiday music.

It doesn't quite put you at Grinch level, but you can see Mount Crumpit from there.

The point is, you don't have to love every carol and classic, but maybe don't complain about the entire genre.

Of course, it's completely up to you. But always remember and never forget the greatest way to spread Christmas cheer...

Don't think of it as a threat but as motivation.

...just for fun:
