Play School Concert

Posted on the 12 July 2012 by Meltingmoments

This week I took B1 and B2 to see the Play School Concert. I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was my first time at a children’s concert, but we had a great time.

Play School Concert

We had seats up stairs as these were the only tickets left when we discovered it was coming to our local entertainment center. We could see well and the seats were good but down stairs they had a big open area in front of the stage for all the kids to sit, stand or dance as they watched and sang along. I think it would have been great to be down there as my two got a little edgy every now and then and wanted to go out in to the isle and climb the stairs. It could have just as easily been chaos trying to keep them from running off down there so it may have been for the best.

There were two actors singing and dancing on stage, I believe their names were Abi and Tao, along with Big Ted, Jemima, Humpty Dumpty and all the others dolls and stuffed animals, cough cough, sorry characters!

They sang all of B1 and B2′s favorite songs. Most of which I sing to the them daily, so they heard some familiar tunes.
Of course I had on hand a container of sultanas for them to snack on and they came out of the bag about half way through, which they ate while they watched, listened and clapped.

The show went for about 40 minutes which I think was the perfect amount of time for little minds (and for mums too).

All in all, it was good fun and we would go again.
