We have a social studies lesson coming up, thanks to yours truly. That lesson will be covering needs and wants. I am thinking about the book The Duckling Gets a Cookie. The pigeon, I know all of my fellow elementary teachers love that silly pigeon, finds that the duckling has a cookie and all he did was ask for it. Is the cookie a need? Why, no. However, food is! I read my class Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and they absolutely loved it. They love that pigeon!Well that is all I have for today. Things haven't been too busy but homecoming is coming up next week and things have been crazy in housing, student government, and for classes. I gave my first speech in public speaking on Monday and it went alright. (Scary though!) I get to do calendar and focus wall time with my kindergarten class on Monday. (I take on 1 more task each week. Yay!) Fall break is Oct. 12 and I cannot wait for it. I don't know what I am doing besides working but oh well. Kyle and I will figure something out and of course you all will hear about it!
