PNP Review

With Christmas just around the corner, the time to start building the excitement and anticipation for the big day is here!
I love to try and get the kids, Tyne in particular now that he's old enough to understand it, involved and really full to the brim with Christmas excitement! We have our Christmas Elf arriving in a few days time which I just know he's going to love, we've booked our tickets to go on the Polar Express, we'll soon be heading off to visit Santa and we're starting to spend our weekends going to Christmas fayres and fetes!
But what else can I be doing at home to get him all excited for Christmas?!
Well one of our favorite yearly traditions has been to show Tyne a personalised Video from Santa made especially for him from the fabulous Portable North Pole app!
PNP review
We did it last year and even the year before (more for me than for Tyne who was only 9 months old at the time!), but this is the first year he's understood!
This year we tried out their gold pass bundle which costs £9.99 - which gives you unlimited premium video messages with up to 15 personalisations per video, unlimited calls from Santa (including a special Christmas Eve call from his sleigh!) and unlimited free HD download meaning you can keep your special video from Santa forever! Of course you don't even HAVE to pay to use the Portable North Pole service, the magic is available to absolutely everyone - there are free videos available with 5 personalisation options which are absolutely amazing too!
PNP even have some funny and rather cheeky videos available for the grown ups too, so you could send one to your other half or friends...will they be on the nice list or the naughty list?!
So what did Tyne think of the PNP experience this year?
I personally had a lot of fun putting his video together - I WAS a little bit miffed though that his name wasn't available! The choice of names available is absolutely mind-blowing, there are names on there I have NEVER even heard of - yet Tyne was nowhere to be found! (I was surprised given it's American roots as Tyne isn't that unusual a name in the US given that there's a rather well known actress with the name, a dancer on Dancing With The Stars and some characters in recent movies have also had the name...so it's not exactly unheard of!)  I tried to find a name with a similar pronunciation but couldn't find anything other than Tinoh or Tiann! - so I had to use the name Ty, which was a bit irritating but luckily he didn't seem to notice at all when Santa said it during the video!
I personalised the video to include Santa saying his age, added a photo of him and his family, and a photo of the toy he most wants for Christmas this year - a Thomas The Tank Engine bicycle!

When Tyne sat down to the watch the video, his little face lit up when Santa said his name (Told you he never noticed the discrepency!) and when Santa said he'd heard he wanted a bike for Christmas and showed the photo of the Thomas bike he RAN around the room squealing "YAHOO!!! Santa knows I want a Thomas bike!!!"
He was absolutely delighted and it was wonderful to see the magic of Christmas really brought to life for him!
Another fabulous thing to mention is that PNP donates 5% of all online sales to 40 children’s hospitals across the world – 4 of which are based in the UK.
