Poetry's Worth

Posted on the 28 November 2012 by Fizz @ThePoetsAlley
I look at the keyboard,
And somehow,
The words begin to flow.
With music in my head,
And words on my lips,
I just begin to write some poetry.
I know someone will read,
And then say something nice,
And that’s how my talent will get some appreciation.
But what I really want,
Is to tell the world how I feel,
So that someone out there knows
The real me.
And then I also like it when,
These same words,
Strike a note into somebody’s heart,
And sometimes even says their story.
I never believed in the power of the words,
Till the day,
I saw the magic they can create.
A smile once in a while,
A laugh and sometimes,
An inspiration, oh that’s what’s a poetry’s worth.
I look at the keyboard,
And somehow,
The words begin to flow.
To write a story with little words,
And if I get lucky they will rhyme too,
Even if they don’t,
I thinks it the feelings that makes it all worth.
