Post-Vacay-Depression

We got home from our vacation on Saturday. I'm still in denial that I am even home. I am swaying in my seat as I type, pretending that the waves of Lake Powell are still pushing me around on a houseboat. Last night Jared and I were outside and I looked up expecting to see the clear sky full of stars that I've been falling asleep to the past week, instead all I saw was the  reflection of the city in a smog of clouds. Don't get me wrong I love being home, I love having my puppies to warm me as I sleep, but it's not the serene, non-stressful, relaxing vacation that I loved so much.
Before I show some photos, here are some things I miss most about vacation.
1. Communal meals. I love waking up to 20 other people laughing and drinking coffee and 11 girls spreading lunch duties while all the the boys BBQ dinner.
2. No one gets ready in Lake Powell! I loved throwing on a hat and bathing suit and that's it. Bam! I was ready for the day. It was so hard to get back into the routine of putting on underwears, a bra, shirt, pants, shoes, doing my hair and putting makeup on. Ugh! Real life is so hard.
3. Peeing is so much more fun on vacation. How fun is to drop trousers in the Lake and let the stream flow? Or if Lake Peeing isn't available or it is night time, dig a hole and pee in. Then burry it right back up. If that doesn't spell fun, what does?
4. There is NO traffic when you are on a boat, jet-ski, paddle board, or floatie. At home, when I leave for work at 6:30am, all I see are red tail lights. Traffic Jams are the pits.
5. On that note, as well... I HATE waking up to alarm clocks. I would much rather wake up to the sound of my friends screaming echoing through the canyon walls.
Adios Lake Powell!
