1. Prepare the contents of your bag the night before, not the morning after. Have an organized bag!
2. Remember to bring hand sanitizer at all times to avoid emergency purchase from a convenience store whose prices are way expensive than regular grocery stores. Tissue paper, too!
3. Prepare drinking water beforehand, remember to fill empty bottles during meals. It's always possible to get free (tap) water from restaurants around the Philippines. Minimum cost of water on-the-road is PhP20.00 and can go ridiculously high. The rule of supply and demand applies to traveler - water relationship.
4. Keep eating, keep smiling, knowing you can always count on the goodness of people in new, unfamiliar lands.
5. From Portugal to Camiguin, the scooter, from being a travel buddy became our travel bestfriend.
