I hope everyone had a great President’s Day.
I had my first day off in a really long time, it was glorious! I slept in, watched tv while sipping coffee, went grocery shopping, walked around town, hit the gym, did yoga and watched a movie. Phewwww.
I got a coffee at my favorite local joint Breaking New Grounds. I might be in my head, but the coffee is so good, it’s like a dessert!
I took a week long hiatus from the gym and it felt so good to get back in there and sweat. I am restarting Phase II of the LiveFit Trainer. I only did the first week of it and then took my break from working out, so I am just going to restart the program so I make good on completely it fully.
The best part of Phase II is I can do cardio! It is supposed to be 30 minutes of cardio and I am pretty sure it is not supposed to be very high intensity, but I really wanted to get a good workout in so I did a 30 minute Tabatha run on the treadmill. It made the 30 minutes go by so fast. The quick bursts of activity were balanced out with the short 10 second rest periods. I just stood on the side of the treadmill for the rest periods and jumped back on (very carefully) for the sprint. It takes way too long to adjust the speeds
I hope I can stick to this plan and eat well. I want to tone up and get some muscle definition. That’s the goal!
Around 6pm my brother called me and invited me to go to yoga at 3 Bridges Yoga with him and his girlfriend, Marie. I was hesitant but knew I would not regret it if I want. So I did. And, I am so happy I did. It was just what the doctor ordered. I have been so on edge, out of my element and stressed lately. It felt good to get back to balance.
Now I am on the coach watching Drive. So far it is pretty slow, but I can’t complain about watching Ryan Reynolds for 2 hours!
I will leave with Ryan. Have a great day.
How did you spend your President’s Day?
