Unusually for a sunny day in June, I've decided to blog about a wonderfully Christmassy wedding I photographed at the end of last year! (Well, variety is the spice of life!) I am a total sucker for Christmas themed wedding day, and this particular Priston Mill wedding day was absolutely spectacular - and suitably chilly outside!
Priston Mill, near Bath, is a venue I've had the pleasure of working at quite a few times, but this is the first Christmas wedding I've shot there. Plus, continuing with the 'firsts', the bridal prep - which this blog covers - was held at the absolutely gorgeous hotel called The Pig. My only regret is that it was raining so hard during the bridal prep that we didn't get any shots of the exterior of the hotel, but I can assure you it's stunning - and in a very festive touch, there were even a herd of real reindeer in the grounds - I kid you not!
What a delight it was to photograph this exciting and really beautifully themed and detailed wedding day, and of course, to be able to be present at the bridal prep to capture the excitement of the build up. Even though the rain lashed it down in the morning, it did stop for the afternoon, meaning we got outside at Priston Mill to capture group shots and couples shots, thank goodness!
But, back to the subject of this blog, which is the bridal prep. How elegant and gorgeous did the bride look? Just fabulous! And one of my favourite shots of the entire day is the one at the top of the page;- the look on the father of the bride's face when he saw his daughter as a bride for the first time. Really, truly such a beautiful moment.
