I think these are all from 2003. Quite a long time ago.
Of course these are all done before I knew about rhythm and meter, and I think they need to stay as is. But I did find myself changing a few words here and there to make it better.
Psyche
Ideas come from somewhere
from the psyche
ideas evolve from
and my psyche runs deep.
It has been this way
since college days.
Those art school years
have made a deep impact
on my life and are so grateful
to have had that experience.
It has brought me to a more
spiritual self....
willingness to try new things,
explore my creativity to
its full capacity.
Always aware there are
new discoveries around a corner
and new possibilities
about art, writing and what
my perception can do for me.
Psyche is endless time churning, churning, churning.

On Creativity
Designs are an endless sky,
the moon and the precious earth.
As long as I'm alive
to grab it,
the patterns are everlasting.
And there will always be flowers
in memory of my wonderful mom.

Red Wings Upon Dampness of Day
Red cardinal appears
upon the crab apple tree
after the morning rain.
Redness is brilliant
his song so sweet.
Like a photograph,
he is gone in a snap.
Blue platy-codon flower lingers
in the soft morning light.
Greenish are the leaves,
fresh and full,
as raindrops rest on
silky soft petals.
The sun has not yet dried them.
Dark blue purple veins,
show their gorgeous design
as the light makes them transparent
against the dark backdrop.
It is morning in Vermont
with lots of birds taking flight
as Sean and I look out our
large dining room window
at what is spread out before us.
