Happy 4th of July!
240 years after the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, we celebrate the acts of rebellion that led to our nation, and find ourselves in the middle of turbulent times of our own.
While the Founding Fathers set forth to free our new nation from foreign rule, today we find ourselves in the midst of an internal struggle, fighting amongst ourselves. With history as our guide, we know our country has overcome such challenges before, and as we celebrate our revolutionary beginnings, I hope it will remind us that we can again.
So, happy birthday, America! Be smart, be safe, be kind, and be happy. Happy Independence Day!
