Rain, Hail, Wind and Shine....

So, 3 weeks ago (I know it's a little late) I went on the John Hughes Big Walk. It was a gloooooomy day as you can see from the pictures above. It was forecasted to rain, hail and strong winds and boy did we pick the wrong day to go for the event.

This lovely walk was hosted by the lovely Glow from Where's my Glow? to help raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital. When she made a call out via twitter asking if any Perth bloggers would like to join her, I jumped on the bandwagon pretty quickly. Why? Because this year alone, the Lil' Tiger has visited the hospital at least 4 times this year (once being admitted). Though I pray to the Almighty God that we do not have to go there ever again, I know that is an impossible feat. So why not support the hospital that helps countless of children, including my own get better?

The day started out sunny, we were all pumped and ready to go. Did a couple of warm up moves and off we went. It was all fun and games. We were chatting away and laughing until we got to the 5km mark. It went down hill from there. The wind started blowing and WE GOT PELTED BY HAIL! Still we braved the bad weather determined to finish this walk and when we got to the finish line, I was so bloody happy that I had TWO hot sausage buns just for me. Hey, don't judge me. I walked though HAIL MMMMKAY! I deserve those sausages! HAHAHA..

So anyway, I had a really great time and if I had to do it all over again, I could do without the wind and hail at the end.

I would like to thank, Glowless, Bossy Mummy, Little Bento Blog, Silly Mummy, Emma and Rachel for making such a gloomy sucky day FUN FUN FUN. The chills and fever I got the next 2 days were well worth it! Let's do this again. :)
