My mom and dad celebrate their birthday on the same day! Yes, this makes it even more special :)
The minute I mentioned that its grandparents bday, my kids wanted to throw a rainbow party for them. After a long time we are being able to celebrate their bday together coz they used to live faaaaaaaaar away! Past two yrs have been a great blessing since they are couple of miles away!! Truly its a great blessing to have them close to us.....:)
Well the minute I heard 'rainbow party', my mind was running wild and we had soooooooooo much fun decorating, cooking and celebrating their birthday today! I sure have loads of pics for you to enjoy!!
Ranbow parties are so much fun! As you can see ... I got carried away. :) We had a desert table thats soooo in today! We had loads of treats! We had different colored jello, candies sorted out in different colors and one bowl with rainbow colored candies. We also had some CAKE POPS and candy covered oreos. We also had rainbow colored juice!
For the decorations we made a modern art for background, paper flowers with colorful paper bags, tissue paper flowers, punched flowers, paper medallion and we replaced some of the picture frames with the art work that the kids had painted! Kids just loved decorating and cudnt wait for the party to begin.
We also had a spread of rainbow sandwiches(make your own sandwich) for lunch! We also made some delicious lip smacking chicken kabobs. The kids also helped with the fruit kabobs.
The birthday ended with a beautiful family pic ...... It has captured our wonderful memories forever!
This reminds me of a quote 'Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose. '
Love you mom and dad!
