Rainy Day Fun

Posted on the 03 June 2013 by Meltingmoments

We have had quite a few rainy days here lately. This has resulted in B1 and B2 (and if I am honest, myself) getting cabin fever. Since becoming a mom to toddlers, I dread Winter even more now than I used to. The fighting increases, the tantrums and whining hit an all time high. The house is turned into a disaster zone within minutes, and we all start to go a little crazy.

Over the last few weeks I have had to become rather inventive to keep us occupied and to stop Mummy having a nervous breakdown take some of the pressure off.

Here is some of the fun we have been having.

We started with some basic drawing:

Next we built a cubby house with the lounge cushions:

It was an awesome tunnel too!

We did some threading using a colander and some bottle cleaners:

We did some cutting and pasting:

Mummy was in charge of the cutting.

I found some great bath crayons at our local supermarket. They were a big hit:

A few days later we did some more cutting and pasting:

We made some bangles:

I cut out some shapes and some stickers and they coloured them in:

We made a trampoline/wrestling ring on the floor with the cushions:

We did some more drawing:

Until eventually Mummy gave up and we had a Peppa Pig marathon

How long till Summer?
