Rakuten's Play.com: Fuelling Garden Rescue Hopes

Gardening and I are not the best (flower)bed fellows. Despite the fact the garden here at Bundance Towers (inside the moat, of course) are not very big, I just can't keep up with the rate of growth. Rakuten's Play.com: Fuelling garden rescue hopes

I have great plans for al fresco living, pergolas, trellises and the like. At some point I browse the aisles of a garden center until my debit card starts to scream in terror.

Traditionally there's a weekend of flurry early in the summer. Things are pruned, tidied, planted and generally - for a day or two - things are rosy. It never lasts though.

However, this year things are looking a little different.

Some very lovely people at Rakuten Play.com offered me a gift. Until that point Play.com was, in my mind, somewhere my sons squandered their birthday money. Since my back was turned it's now a massive on line marketplace with, well, just about everything at excellent prices.

After browsing for a very long time, considering and rejecting plants, awnings, barbecues, stoves, and statues, I plumped for a bench arch affair. Delivery was swift and construction mercifully straightforward.

So all I need now are some climbing plants, some iced drinks, some convivial company and some sunshine.

What would you pick for your dream garden? Let me know and the best one will win £30 of credit to spend at Rakuten Play.com.
